Through the Board of Stewardship and Missions, First Congregational United Church of Christ organizes it's mission ministry. The board makes decisions about how the church's mission dollars are spent, promotes special offerings for wider church ministries and offers members of the congregation opportunities to invest themselves in service to Jesus Christ. With our time, talent and treasure, our members support the ministries of DuPage County Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS), the annual CROP Walk, St. John United Church of Christ, One Great Hour of Sharing, Neighbors in Need, and the UCC Christmas Fund. The Magi Star program provides Christmas gifts to children from less fortunate families in the Chicago Metropolitan area. Our Mission Rides program is an innovative way for us to minister to one another by providing transportation for our members to various places such as the airport, the pharmacy or the grocery store, while at the same time generating additional funds for our mission projects.
