Commissioning Sunday

Sunday, MAY 22
10:00 am to 11:00 am

This Sunday, May 22, your presence is requested to join us as we send off our youth and adult chaperones to this June’s work trip. Representing our church, a work delegation of 18 members will be serving on the island of Puerto Rico.

Part of the worship service will include a Congregational Send Off Prayer that we hope you will be a part of. Praying over this work delegation is crucial to this trip and we cannot do it without you.

Our guest minister is Rev. Robert Buckner II and he will be sharing with us a moving message titled “Pack Light”.
The Chancel Choir will be singing and there will also be a special solo by a member of our music ministry.
Children will enjoy Sunday School once the commissioning is over at the beginning of the service.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE

MONDAY, MAY 30
9:15 am meet

It has been our church’s tradition to walk at the end of the parade collecting recyclable items from onlookers. Equipped with handheld nets, collecting recyclable items will be an ease.

This fun-filled tradition will include a presentation from our church’s very own Clutter Bug and is an ideal activity to carry out with family and friends. There is no better way to support our environment and honor all of those who have passed while in active service to our country.

We hope you will talk to your family and friends and join us. Our meeting time on the 30th is 9:15 AM. Please contact Karen Pachyn Haraf directly to RSVP at kpachyn@comcast.net or at 630-279-7403.
