Green Garden Fair

First Congregational UCC Elmhurst If you preordered organic seedlings, you will be able to pick them up on Saturday, May 7th between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Seedlings, compost and growing mix will be available for pick up at our Green Garden Fair. Please plan on spending some extra time when you come to pick up your seedlings to enjoy the many exhibitors we will have at the Fair. Our exhibitors will help you learn how to live a greener, more sustainable life, particularly as it relates to your outdoor environment.

If you wished you had ordered more, or didn’t get a chance to place an order before our February 28th deadline, additional organic vegetable and herb seedlings, as well as a limited number of flowers will be available for purchase on Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Bags of organic compost and growing mix will also be available. May 7th is the day before Mother’s Day and plants make a great gift for Mom so come and pick up a few extras. Cash or checks only. Credit cards will not be accepted. All proceeds benefit church missions. We Need Your Help! We had tremendous success with our seedlings sale preorders. We took in almost twice as much income as last year! But now we have to get over 1,800 plants sorted into individual orders and then get them into people’s cars. We’ll be doing the sorting on Friday, May 6th and pick up will be Saturday, May 7th from 9:00 to 1:00. We will also have additional plants available for walk up purchases on May 7th. The Green Team is going to need some help to make this all a success so please sign up for one (or more!) of the volunteer time slots below.
