Onion Undertone, Purple Flowers
Perennial herb. Slender, dark green leaves with mild onion flavor grow from tiny bulbs. Lavender globes of flowers. Blooms in June. Grows 12-18” tall and wide. Harvest at 80-90 days. Harvest individual leaves as needed. Leaves used for garnish or seasoning, flowers for salads or garnish.
Placement: Good in borders and containers.
Care: Full sun. Grow in rich, well-drained soil. Moderate water use. Space 12-18” apart. Zones 4-8.
