Thymus vulgaris

Perennial herb. Fragrant, gray green leaves with tiny lilac flowers. Blooms June to July. Grows 8-12” tall by 12-18” wide. Fresh or dried leaves for fish, shellfish, poultry stuffing, soups and vegetables.

Placement: Good in borders, containers, rock gardens and as ground cover.

Care: Full sun. Plant in light, well-drained soil. Dislikes cold, wet roots. Zones 5-9.
