Great for Sauce

Solanum lycopersicum

Open-pollinated, Italian heirloom variety. Large yields of red, 3 ½” long, paste tomatoes with meaty, full-flavored flesh and few seeds. Provide support by staking or caging. In fall, cover to protect from frost. Indeterminate. Harvest in about 80 days.

Uses: Good for paste, sauces, and canning.

Care: Full sun. After danger of frost, plant in well-worked, well-drained soil. Keep evenly moist. Fertilize when planting and when plants begin to bloom. Space 20-30” apart in rows 36-48” apart.
