Youth Cooking Challenge

On Sunday, October 20th a group of Youth got together to learn how important it is to be able to cook for yourself, especially as they get older and go away to school or even get their own place. To add to the fun we had a surprise chef be our instructor. It was the one and only Kevin Gundlach ower and chef of Flavah Speciality Food right here in Elmhurst. 

 

Kevin shared his own experience with cooking and brought to the table so many virtues of being able to prepare healthy food for yourself. Our Youth Pastor Martha Mendoza shared with the group a Biblical perspective on the food we eat and being a good steward. It was a fun evening and our church is looking forward to hosting more of these types of events. Stay tuned!
